You might remember Park City as being two different places, Park City Mountain Resort and Canyons Resort, but that has all changed and the result is one massive ski mountain with 7,300 acres of every imaginable type of terrain possible. Beginning in the Canyons base village, the resort rises from 6,800 feet and summits at 10,000 feet creating a vertical rise of 3,200 feet with 38 lifts, including beginner magic carpet lifts, accessing over 300 trails. Each year this behemoth is coated by an average of 360 inches of the “Greatest Snow on Earth” (it even says so on their license plates)! Park City has it all, from perfectly manicured groomers to pristine glades, the most forgiving beginner trails, challenging steeps and bowls, parks and pipes with over 150 features, thigh-burning bumps, and night skiing for those who did not get enough during the day! Almost 1,000 acres are devoted to “Beginners”, and that is just 13% of the terrain. Those working to hone their skills will find plenty to play on with 48% of the mountain ranked “Intermediate” and the “Experts” will reach a pleasurable level of exhaustion exploring the 39% of the mountain devoted to them.
