Copper Mountain Atmosphere

\"\"

It is all about the skiing and riding at Copper Mountain, which is reflected in the base village scene where families gather around the fire pits at the end of the day of skiing, usually exhausted, and reflect on the fun of the day. At the end of the ski day the bars are hopping for apres, the tubing hill is bustling, and restaurants are starting to serve the early birds. With most of the lodging being fully equipped, it is typical for the majority of visitors to head home at the end of the day and prepare dinner in the condo. You come to Copper for the mountain, there is some partying to be had, but the bulk of the fun is on the slopes and the nighttime is left for resting up before another epic day of skiing and riding.

Base Village

Convenience is key at Copper Mountain where the bulk of the lodging and services sit at the base of the lifts in three separate base areas with no more than a 100 yard walk to the slopes from most properties. Center Village is home to the majority of the shops and restaurants with such offerings as sushi at the Storm King Lounge, cafeteria style breakfast and lunch fare at Jack’s Slopeside Bar & Grill, Endo’s Adrenaline Cafe and Incline for casual lunch and dinner.CB Grille features a more refined dining experience. Pizza, Mexican, an Irish pub, and a variety of coffee shops round out the dining selections in the Center Village. There is a small collection of shops, including ski rental and retail stores at Copper, but those seeking a more comprehensive shopping experience may want to visit the town of Frisco just eight minutes East on I-70.

The Union Peak area where ski school is based is Just west of the Center Village. The East Village features skier services including ski rental, and the popular lift served snow tubing hill.  East Village dining options include JJ’s Tavern and the Double Diamond for lunch and dinner. Additional amenities and attractions at Copper Mountain include a convenience market, ice rink, Woodward at Copper, the Athletic Center & Spa, and the Golf Course. A stop in the town of Frisco for groceries prior to arriving at Copper is always a good idea.
