Finding Kicking Horse isn’t hard if you know where to look. The resort is just 1.5 hours west of Banff (145 km) and 2.5 hours west of Calgary (270 km) on the Trans-Canada highway.

We are pleased to be offering a new transportation option through the addition of a new shuttle service connecting Calgary International Airport to Kicking Horse Mountain Resort twice a week. Please note that fare is one way, per person, before tax. Times are subject to weather and road conditions.
Airports
The closest international airport to Kicking Horse Mountain Resort is the Calgary International Airport, a 2.5-hour drive from Golden along the scenic Trans Canada Highway. It provides multiple daily commercial flights to and from most regional, national and international destinations.
Alternate Airports
The Canadian Rockies International Airport – located in Cranbrook, British Columbia – is 2.5 hours south of Golden via Highway 95 through the heart of the Kootenay Rockies. Vancouver International Airport and the Kamloops Airport are west of Golden, located nine and five hours away respectively.

What you should know as an International Traveler:
For short term visits to Canada you will need a valid passport. Persons under 18 years traveling without their parents should have identification and a letter of authorization from a parent or guardian to travel into Canada.
