Located in a gated community in the quaint town of Avon, Colorado, Beaver Creek is an upscale resort that has several diverse focal points for lodging and amenities. Beaver Creek Village, the flagship base, is an iconic citadel located high above Avon and anchored by a picturesque ice rink surrounded by an abundant cross section of high end shops, services, and dining options. The Bachelor’s Gulch base is a lodging only area offering few amenities that are not contained by the high end and mostly ski-in/ski-out luxury accommodations. Arrowhead Village represents a small unassuming base village located outside of town with minimal, yet adequate amenities. Beaver Creek Landing, a small on-mountain enclave with a very small lodging base, is serviced by an eatery and a few shops. One can also leave the resort to visit the more substantial town of Avon that is characterized by its many traffic roundabouts and handy assortment of mainstream shops and restaurants that are often more economical for dining or purchasing staple items than the shops located in the Beaver Creek Village base area.
