Cross Country Skiing

The Nordic Center is the hub of recreational activity in the town of Crested Butte. Experience the beauty of the Gunnison Valley with 45 kilometers of track groomed for classic and skate cross-country skiing or guided backcountry tours. If you are new to the sport, there are instructors for teaching all levels. A full fleet of rental equipment is available at the Nordic Center. There’s no reason to leave the kids behind – cross-country skiing is a family oriented activity. The Crested Butte Nordic Center is a full service cross-country center providing complete rental packages for skate and classical skiing, as well as ice skating and snowshoeing. Our friendly Nordic Ski School instructors teach skiers of all abilities and ages on gentle terrain. A lesson is the fastest way to get you and your family on the right track and enhance your cross-country skiing experience.
