Crested Butte Mountain Heritage Museum

Come visit the colorful past of the historic town of Crested Butte at Crested Butte Mountain Heritage Museum in the old Tony\’s Conoco. Experience the rich heritage of the immigrant miners and their families who survived harsh mountain winters living a simple life. See the dramatic transformation of this special town from mining to recreation. Enjoy exhibits about local history, skiing, railroads, local personalities, miners, and the Mountain Bike Hall of Fame. Open daily from noon to 8pm. The entire front portion of the Museum is free of charge. This includes the memorial of Crested Butte hardware – the longest running business in Crested Butte, the photo collection of Sandra Cortner, known affectionately as the \’Crested Butte Personalities\’ and a small portion of our historical exhibits.
